Chini ka Paratha is a sweet Indian flatbread recipe. This is also known as ‘Meetha Paratha‘ or ‘Sugar Paratha’.

Well in India there are a lot of varieties of Parathas. Aloo ka Paratha, Methi ka Paratha, Gobi Paratha and, many more. We can just put anything as a stuffing inside and make a paratha out of it.

In my opinion, you do need any other side dishes to accompany the sweet paratha. Just roll the parathas and grab it.

However, if you feel to serve Chini ka Paratha with some side dish, you can do it. Some of the pairing dishes could be sweet Bundis, dry fruit Ladoos, coconut pudding with jaggery, kheer, or rice pudding. Or you can apply a tablespoon of honey over the parathas and eat the same.

If you have any other choices you can add it and let me know in the comments section below. I would love to hear from you. 🙂

Some Quick Tips to prepare Chini ka Paratha:

  • If you are planning to make Chini ka Paratha, please try to use fine granules of sugar. Otherwise, the sugar crystals may come out of the dough while rolling it.
  • However, if you do not have fine granulated sugar, do not worry. Grind the sugar crystals in a grinder and make a smooth powder of sugar.
  • Whole wheat flour is generally used for the recipe. Alternatively, you can use all-purpose flour or Maida too for preparing the same.
  • If you want a bit healthier version of the paratha yet you do not want to cut on taste, replace the sugar with Jaggery powder. This will be a similar version of sweet paratha.
